Ben currently calls Texas home. He is a practioner of the way of Jesus, focusing on spiritual formation, ecclesiology, and social entrepreneurship.
With over a decade of ministry experience, he has developed a set of principles and a spiritual philosophy that guides all of his work: 1) being with Jesus, becoming like Him, and doing what He did, 2) "nobody wins, unless everybody wins", and 3) keeping company with the Scriptures, Early Church Fathers + Mothers, Orthodox Christian Mystics, Charismatic circles, Missional praxis, and Neo-Anabaptism - put simply he does not subscribe to one theological camp and chooses to seek after an ecumenical view of the body of Christ.
His calling and vocation is to be a "custodian of ideas" and an "innovator", while he ministers. These two terms are used by missiologist Alan Hirsch to describe the apostolic role within 5 Fold Ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Shepherd, and Teacher; Ephesians 4:11-12). He shys away from using the offical term of apostle because of the rampant abuse of both apostleship and prophetic ministry in the church today.
He is an INFJ (Myers-Briggs) and an enneagram 5w4.
When he is not praying and seeking Jesus for vision for the building up of the chruch, he is spending time with his wife and son, drinking specialty coffee, and writing down everything that comes to his mind.
